Question 1

How much does Vois cost?

Accepted Answer

Vois has a 7-day free trial, then two plans: Subscriber covers the core local studio with unlimited generation, and Pro adds Omni, 600+ languages, and Voice Design. Export credit packs cover occasional exports on the free tier. Current prices are at vois.so/pricing.

Question 2

How is this different from ElevenLabs or other cloud TTS?

Accepted Answer

Many cloud platforms send text to a hosted voice service and meter usage by characters or credits. Vois combines local TTS with a script editor, multi-track timeline, mastering pipeline, and export presets in one app. Paid plans have no per-character fees, and scripts are not uploaded for TTS or mastering.

Question 3

What happens when I cancel?

Accepted Answer

You can cancel anytime with no penalty. Keep all audio you have generated; your files are yours forever. You will just lose access to generating new audio until you resubscribe.

Question 4

When does Vois require an internet connection?

Accepted Answer

Vois needs internet access for setup, model downloads, activation, and periodic license validation. Speech generation, editing, mastering, and export run on your device, and your scripts and audio are not uploaded for processing. After a successful validation, local production can continue for up to 1 day while the license remains active.

Question 5

What are the system requirements?

Accepted Answer

Vois runs on macOS 12+ (Apple Silicon) and Windows 10/11 (64-bit). We recommend 16 GB RAM and at least 20 GB of free disk space. Voice engines download separately: about 5 GB for Multilingual and about 11 GB if you install all four. GPU acceleration is optional but speeds up generation 2-6x on supported hardware.

Question 6

What production tools are included?

Accepted Answer

Vois includes a script editor with multi-speaker support, a multi-track timeline with drag-and-drop clips and crossfades, a mastering pipeline (LUFS normalization, de-esser, EQ, limiter), and export presets for Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts, and ACX/Audible. You also get project management for organizing series, seasons, and chapters.

Question 7

How many voices are included?

Accepted Answer

All 100+ studio-quality voices are included with every subscription. These span 21 categories including narrators, hosts, characters, educators, and companions. New voices are added regularly, and they all work across every supported language. You can also supplement with voice cloning.

Question 8

What are the different TTS engines?

Accepted Answer

Fast is great for quick English drafts and iteration. Expressive handles production-quality English with rich emotion and intonation. Multilingual is the legacy 23-language engine. Omni handles 600+ languages and powers Voice Design. Omni is available with Pro and requires a compatible graphics card.

Question 9

How does voice cloning work?

Accepted Answer

Voice cloning is a paid feature on Subscriber and Pro. Provide 10 to 15 seconds of your own voice or a voice you have permission to clone; 15 seconds is the sweet spot. Vois creates and stores the custom voice on your device. Export credits unlock export only, not cloning.

Question 10

Can I use the audio commercially?

Accepted Answer

Vois Subscriber and Pro subscriptions include a commercial license for YouTube, podcasts, audiobooks, courses, games, and client work. Licenses bought through partner deals include commercial use only on the tiers that list it. Always follow each destination platform's rules and any permissions attached to a cloned or third-party voice.

Question 11

Is voice cloning ethical?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Vois is designed for cloning your own voice or voices you have permission to use. You must confirm you have the voice owner's consent before cloning. The license agreement prohibits unauthorized voice cloning.

Question 12

Is there a free trial?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Vois includes a 7-day free trial with 10 generations per day and 1 project. Verify your email to start, no credit card required. After the trial, free access remains available only while purchased export credits remain, and each export consumes one credit. Voice cloning and unlimited export require Subscriber or Pro. Omni and Voice Design require Pro.

Question 13

What if I need help?

Accepted Answer

We offer email support for all customers. We also have documentation, video tutorials, and a community of creators. Check the help section in the app for common questions and guides.

Question 14

What are export credits?

Accepted Answer

Export credits are our pay-as-you-go option: export finished audio without a subscription. One credit equals one export, regardless of length or format. Credits never expire, so you can use them whenever you are ready. You can buy them in packs of 1, 3, or 10 from the pricing page. Subscribers do not need credits because their plan already includes unlimited exports.

Question 15

Do I need credits if I subscribe?

Accepted Answer

No. Subscribers get unlimited exports as part of their plan. Export credits are designed for people who want to use the free tier for generation and only pay when they need to export. If you subscribe, you will not need to buy credits at all.

Question 16

What about updates and new features?

Accepted Answer

Subscribers and Pro users get app updates automatically. Feature access follows the active entitlement: Subscriber receives the core production studio, while Pro receives Omni, Voice Design, and Pro-only model capabilities.
